Post by Trombola2112 »

I've noticed a spot on the brace where the G-flat paddle attaches that looks like something could screw into it. Was wonder what it was for

Neat. I read somewhere they made a thumb rest, didn't realize the bass was made with it in mind. Where could i get one? A quick search didn't give me much.

I asked one of their reps about this feature at NAMM in January.

He said the newer Q series horns have the holes/threads for the rest bar. He mentioned that I could order it from a "Shires repair shop." They may sell it directly or make you go through a repair shop.

I'm happy enough with my Instrument Innovations Ax Handle: https://instrumentinnovations.com/ax-handles/
