Yes that seems to be it. Either TB502B or TB503B depending on the bore. Never seen or heard of that before!

The resistance changes as the slide is extended, and the horn becomes less stable as the bore discrepancy between the outer and inner slide tubes becomes more and more significant.

Composer-arrangers : Do you NEED a strong melody?

<t>Well nobody claims that music with no good melody is going to be necessarily good, just that SOME music without a good melody can be good, and therefore a good melody is not an absolute prerequisite to a piece being good.<br/> <br/> I'm also not saying Beethoven was not a good melodist. But his g...

Composer-arrangers : Do you NEED a strong melody?

<r>A good melody helps, sure, but it's by no means necessary for a piece to be good or even memorable.<br/> <br/> Think of it, probably the most recognizable piece of classical music of all times doesn't really have a proper melody.<br/> <URL url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxSkaepmGQ0"><s>[url...

sackbut mouthpiece Romera Daniel Lassalle

<t>No, it has (by modern standard) a shallow cup, a sharp entrance to the throat, and a very wide throat. That's all pretty common in baroque mouthpieces.<br/> <br/> What gives you the impression that it has a double cup is the fact that there is a fairly pronounced venturi in the backbore. <br/> Co...

We did the bending trick, but that only lasted so long before the tuning slide got back i...
