Vintage Conn 4h

Post by louied89 »

Hello, first post to this forum!

I found the forum through Dwerden's forums as I am a euph player.

Some years ago I purchased a vintage conn 4h serial 189xxx off of ebay. I had planned on using the horn for jazz but I haven't used the horn in quite some time and I don't really plan on using anytime in the near future.

What would you all say the horn is worth? I don't have pics at the moment (horn is at home, I am at work) but pics can be taken for sure.

thank you!

Reverb and Ebay are a good source of what people are asking / paying for horns. Without pictures it is impossible to speculate. But at least they will give you a rough order of magnitude about the price. Of course, some folks put outrageous prices on their stuff on Ebay. Watch a couple auctions and see what they end up going for.

With trombones in particular it is hard to guess the condition of a slide. Pictures of the ends of the inner slide tubes are helpful in letting a buyer know condition but still nothing like feeling it.

Best wishes!
Dave
