King Serial numbers (recent)

Post by LX5 »

Hi All,

I have a friend who is going to sell a King 2b. It's a relatively modern horn...I'm guessing from a photo that it is 80's vintage. It has a 4 digit serial number 52xx.

Anyone know the approximate age of this horn?

Thanks!

That's not the serial number. King had aa "rollover" of serials somewhere around the turn of the millennium, but went from 999999 to 100000. Four digit numbers are used to identify parts.

There's a 6 digit number somewhere. You just need to find it.
