Conn .525/.547 slide crook

Post by Thrawn22 »

Hello again!

Are the Conn dual bore silde crooks designed differently than the .547 crooks? I imagine the only difference is in the .547/.562 dual bore slide crooks and the .525/.547 use the standard 8H/88H slide crook.

Am i wrong?

Im thinking of converting a beat up Elkhart 8H slide to dual bore. Im also think of using rose brass tubes. Any thoughts?

My impression based on the one I have, is that the crook is a standard 88H crook. The 525 tube attaches to a ferrule that seems the same external width as on the 547 tube, just inlet differently to accept the narrower tube.
