I play Bb and try to play C , mouthpiece seems to be much more important to quality of sound. I also play the Martin Urbie Green t-bone. George.

I play Taps regularly through Bugles Across America… if you have the desire, this is a wonderful way to give back to those who gave of themselves.

My bugle is pitched in G.

A few years ago, I purchased (on eBay, I think) a World War II U.S. Army bugle in decent condition for a very reasonable price.

A great purchase. Even a trombonist can play taps on a bugle.

I have been asked to play at memorial services for a couple of veteran friends.
Emotional, but a great honor for me to recognize their service and their sacrifice.

I'll be on my front porch at 3:00pm on Memorial Day.

I was an Honor Guard bugler when I was in the Air Force. There was no way in hell I was going to let us use a recording when I was on a funeral detail.

Indeed. Thanks. Those bogus bugle-shaped objects with little speakers and a recording of taps seem disrespectful to me.
