Planxty George Brabazon for Trombone Quartet

Post by Wilktone »

My wife got interested in learning to play Celtic folk harp a couple of years ago. One of the pieces she's been learning is by Turlough O'Carolan, Planxty George Brabazon. She asked me to put together an arrangement simple enough for her to play a while back and I started playing around with the tune again, writing a trombone quartet arrangement of it.

Here's an audio file.

Here's the PDF to the score and parts. If you get the chance to read it through, let me know how it goes.

And here's a more traditional arrangement/performance.

Thanks, Dave. Looks easy enough for a reading session. I may spring it on the next quartet I play with.
