Doesn't really look bad, just suppurating a bit. Told to keep vaseline on it.

I suppose there's just one good way to find out?

After the deductible, $60 bucks Image Image Image

More of a scrape than a chunk.

I tried buzzing a little and maybe I'll play a few notes tomorrow and see what happens.

Play as what's comfortable for you.  You're not going to hurt anything. You may just ooze or bleed a bit.

Best of luck with that...be sure to clean your horn out really well...That'll be some pretty juicy stuff you'll be blowing into your horn, ripe for bacterial growth....I hope it all turns out well...

After several attempts beginning last Saturday I was able to play today, not because of pain or Goo, which was surprising but the lump from the scab.

Before the Doc said, "I don't like the look of that", I was making a pretty good comeback after nearly 30 years away. Hoping for no further excavation.
