So, I just picked up a Ferguson M-series Bass trombone Jeff Reynolds replica, and noticed that unlike the other M-series I have, the L, there seems to be a "step" or change in direction in the bowl. I know these are CNC copies of the originals, so I was wondering if anyone else has a JR and has seen this. It's supposed to be quite popular.
I tried to photograph it as best I can. At the step the angle seems to change to be much straighter towards the rim.

Just confirmed, that it's normal. The JR was apparently found on one of Minick's shelves, as he had "made it too big", but Jeff Reynolds loved it. There was apparently only one ever made.
