Alrighty so, this question might be because I've been staying up late.
I have a bell from a mid 70's 3B with two different sized tuning slides in the F attachment. I know on newer Kings, the two tuning slides could be swapped with one another. This got me thinking.
Since 1970, has King, UMI, or Conn Selmer changed the screw threads on the 3B's slide during a redesign or something?
I'm tempted to hunt for straight 3B's and I'm wondering if I gotta worry about getting a slide of mid 70's vintage. With my luck I'd get the deal of a lifetime for a slide that didn't fit the bell.

Re: King Slide bell screw
Pretty sure they're the same forever. I've swapped my '80s slide out on a very early 3B (late '50s?) before.
