Other makes fitting Shires Bass Slide
Hi, simple question. Which makes of trombones fit Shires Bass slides? I'm putting a dual bore slide up for sale and I want to broaden the potential buyers market. Thanks

The threads are unique to Shires, so No one technically. BUT the taper is the same as Bach and Edwards with the threaded part being 1 threaded per inch different than the Bach and Edwards lock nuts. Some worn Edwards and Bach bell sections will screw onto a Shires slide, but this is not a Given.

What octavposaune said.
The threaded receiver on the slide is a very easy piece for a competent tech to swap out.
