Is there an appreciable difference between a Strad 12 bell and a Strad 16M bell? Both are made circa 77-78.
Thanks.

Re: Bach Bell size question
Same bells, different slides and neckpipes on an M.

Re: Bach Bell size question
But in 77-78 the bell will be marked 16, not 16M, and the neckpipes might be the same. (I have an LT16M of exactly this vintage.)

Anyway, if you have both, you can always measure to compare. It doesn't matter what the actual bores are - ODs will tell you whether they're the same.
