JP 231
Any thoughts on the JP 231? Medium bore straight horn. 525/8" bell. Sold my Bach 36 a while back and of course now I wish I still had it. Dillon has a demo model of the 231 for $695 at the moment. FWIW, I have a JP 274 euph and have found it to be excellent.

I played one for 3 years. I found it to be the best King 3B money can buy! Built like a tank. Nearly indestructible. A very fine horn. I used a Griago 6.5 light weight with it.

I "bought and released" both the JP 230 and the JP 231. In both cases, I was disappointed by the overall quality, feel and sound. If you know you like the Bach 36, I think that would be a safer bet and you should be able to get one at a decent price. (And of course, if you get it at a decent price, you can probably also sell it later for most or all of what you paid, should it not work out for you.)
