Will King Cleveland slide fit a 2B?
I’m wondering whether a King Cleveland slide will be compatible with a 2B?
Or even a 606 slide?
Or even a 606 slide?

I think that's mentioned in the "King Slide Compatibility" thread at the top of this forum.

So here’s what I am thinking.
I recently bought an old SS 2B. I knew the slide needed work but now my repairman tells me he can’t fix it. There’s corrosion in the outer tube, some wear on the stockings, and there’s been some slide damage and dent repairs in the past. A slide rebuild will likely be expensive. A new slide would be even more expensive.
But there are scads of inexpensive 606s (.500 bore) and 605s (.491 bore) around. If the slides are compatible, that is, the tenons fit and the lock nut is properly threaded, a 605/606 slide will do for the time being while I sort out what to do with the original slide. It might be a little heavier but would still be better than the original in its current condition.

Right. The bottom tube of a 2B has a .491 bore, same as the 605.

A King Cleveland Superior slide from the 60's will fit a 2B.

Is a King Cleveland Superior slide a dual bore or single bore 0.491?

The Cleveland has a single bore, probably a .491 bore but I can't get an accurate measurement.mjrochatbn74 wrote: ↑Tue Aug 22, 2023 5:35 am Is a King Cleveland Superior slide a dual bore or single bore 0.491?
I'm sure it will mate up with a 2B, because I used to have both.
I still have the Cleveland and could easily part with it for $300. I know they can be had cheaper, but mine is in excellent well-maintained condition, and despite some smooth inner slide wear the slide works very well, smooth with no hang-ups.

I play the opposite setup. I've a 2B Jiggs slide paired with a Cleveland Superior bell. I like the way I sound with larger throat of the Cleveland Bell. YMMV.

The King Superiors are often overlooked, underrated by some, but are decent horns especially for those who like 2B's. More of a "basic pro" than a student horn, IMO.
Personally, I just prefer larger bores/wider slides like a 36B or 42B
