Just Starting

I have just started playing trombone, what should I do first?

I would start by learning that you aren't performing yet; you are learning.

Next I would figure out how to make a sound on the trombone. Then refine it so you don't attract so many mooses. :tongue: :tongue: :tongue:

Take some lessons from a competent trombone teacher.

Also maybe learn to clean it without damaging it. It's a journey -- and be always of the moose.

There is a fraternity of the Moose like there is a fraternity of the Elk. But they all do not play trombone.

If you have a lousy tone you can sound like a wounded moose on the trombone. Not pleasant.

Somehow a word got left out. It was supposed to be "Be always aware of the moose."
