James Sistek silver trombone

Post by EGLDAD »

Hi all,

I've recently saved an early James Sistek trombone (got it at an estate sale) and am in the process of cleaning it up since it was black with tarnish. Problem is I'm not finding out much about the horn itself (serial #5836). It doesn't appear to have a tuning slide, it doesn't have a slide lock either. I'm hearing from some that it's rare and I tend to believe it as I can't find out much about it. Any info would be appreciated!

I assume you've already found the information over on horn-u-copia:

Some pictures would help. You'll need to make another post and then get approved before you can upload pics to the forum. I'd also encourage you to submit some pics to horn-u-copia.
