Windy City Trombone Retreat 2025

Hello! I appreciate any signal boost our community might be able to give to this event.

I'm reaching out about a tuition-free trombone workshop that my non-profit, Brass Beyond, runs each summer in Chicago. The Windy City Trombone Retreat is for female and gender-expansive pre-professional trombonists looking to network and expand their learning in a welcoming environment. This year (our third) will take place from June 17-20.

We have eight housing fellowships available, as well as lots of room with those able to find their own accommodations. Our programming features daily trombone choir, quartets, and masterclasses on topics such as historical performance (sackbut day), jazz improvisation, careers in music administration, movement/mobility, and more. Other highlights include a chance to hear the Grant Park Music Festival and Jazz Night faculty concert.
