Which 613H Tuning Slide?

Post by Chazzer69 »

Hoping I can get a little assistance here. Can anyone determine from the photo below whether this Yamaha YBL-613H has the G/Eb or Gb/D tuning slide in place? (I think those are the right options.)

Thanks!

There is no photo, so the quick way to tell-

Gb will line up nearly with the F slide in length

G will be far shorter, nearer the main tuning slide

Thanks Aidan. Weird...the photo shows up for me in the post. Maybe there's something wrong with the way I did it. I tried it another way. If it doesn't show up now, would you mind if I sent you the photo directly? I think it must be the Gb but I'd like to get confirmation.

Yep, definitely the Gb. A lot of people end up losing the G crook, especially if they don't have the original case, which has a slot just for it. If you are thinking about getting one, definitely use some thicker tuning slide grease on the Gb crook. When I had one it liked to move on its own due to how short the legs are.
