Kid Ory’s Daughter needs help

Kid Ory’s daughter, Babette, has recently fallen on hard times and is homeless in L.A. Additionally, she was in a car accident and is without transportation.
Babette is a living encyclopedia of jazz and popular music history, and knows or has known many of the most important figures in jazz. She is in charge of her father’s archives - his papers, photos, trombone, and more; those are in danger of being lost if she cannot quickly settle in a new home,

Per a 2003 story, she lost the contents of storage unit that housed a lot of Kid Ory memorabilia…did she ever get that stuff back?

Yes, somehow finding a permanent home would be ideal.

Hey everyone! I can’t give specifics at the moment, but there’s a major trombone group that’s interested in securing these materials for future players. Does ANYONE have the ability to contact Ms. Ory directly?! I reached out via her gofundme page but haven’t heard anything, likely because she’s an elderly lady who’s being displaced who doesn’t check her email. Any way we can connect these 2 parties is a way we can help!
