Conn 10H slide

Post by ttf_John the Theologian »

Quinn the Eskimo has this nice looking 10H for sale, but, as he points out the slide is from a 48H.  However, when I look at the right hand grip on the outer slide, it doesn't look like either mine or any other 48H slide I've ever seen.  That hand grip looks more like some Yamaha horns or Olds horns that I've seen.  The grip for the left hand on the outer side is a classic 48H grip.

Maybe Conn made some unusual custom grips or perhaps this is from another horn such as a Yamaha.

Any suggestions.

Looks like a 48h slide to me. Well, the main slide brace is 48h, but the hand slide brace looks like yamaha.
