Selling for my colleague in DSO.
Bach 42G with a custom valve and open wrap by Stan Matras. Stan's work is of the highest quality, and he is constantly improving his custom designs. Coincidentally, some people started talking about him here: http://tromboneforum.org/index.php?topic=100483.0
This horn was pieced together. The bell and slide are from the late eighties. The slide is #90xxx. Lacquer wear obviously where the valve work was done, and the slide is missing most of its lacquer. Good condition without any major dents or damage.
The owner of the horn says "this horn is free blowing with a warm and vibrant sound. A great horn for a fantastic price!!"
Includes a good condition Bam case.
Shipped to conUS for $1900.

Horn looks familiar. Is this one of Ken's earlier axes?

Yes it's Ken's. Not sure how long he's had it.

Update: The leadpipe is removable, and included with the sale is the standard Bach pipe and a Brasslab pipe. The tuning slide is also made by Stan Matras. A few close up pictures of the valve have been added to the folder linked above. It has a very short throw, similar to a Shires Trubore
