For sale is a 1940-41 King Liberty 2b in Silver. The horn is in very good condition for its age. I would rate the slide a 9/10 (10 if it is properly lubricated). I have two cases for the horn: you may choose either the King coffin style case or a more modern lightweight case. Price is $1,100.00, plus shipping/insurance. Pictures are posted at http://wavechart.com/king2b.htm

P.S. If you need a mouthpiece for the horn, I have several I no longer use. I am sure we can work something out.

Silversonic? Sterling? I assume with the gold wash bell it is...

Although the horn as the look of a silversonic, it's not sterling silver. I don't believe the inside of the bell was ever silver plated.

Over the last 10 years or so, I bought and sold a number of jazz horns. Since most of my playing is in a pit orchestra, I am not able to use one that often. Anyway, most recently I have owned a Martin 4501 Urbie Green, Conn 100h, a King 2b+ and this King 2b. By far, this was the best player of the bunch. The high range is very easy in comparison. I last used the horn for a gig during 2016 in the musical Will Rogers Follies If you know the show, it features a trombone solo up to high C. This clip gives you an idea of what the horn sounds like - http://wavechart.com/willrogersfollies.mp3 (Sorry about the quality, I recorded this on my cell phone.)
