For sale is an Elkhart built Conn 6H made in 1965. This horn is in excellent shape with original case in prime condition. If you like, I can throw in a Conn 3 mouthpiece with purchase.
This horn was played up until the mid 1980's then sat in a closet until last month. I gave the horn a thorough cleaning inside and out. Cosmetically, the only "flaw" is the scratch seen in the first bell photo. Just a few very very small pings on the bell throat. The slide was cleaned/buffed and functions at a 9 out of 10, great slude action. No wear on the inner stockings.
Playability, it has the characteristics of a 6H from the period. Great low register and a bright upper register. If you've been looking for a vintage 6H, here it is!
