Two euphoniums for sale:
[s]$950: Marzan, made by Willson. 4 valve non-compensating, silver plate, medium shank receiver, good condition. Some scuffs and minor dents, nothing remotely big. This has a unique wrap, sinimalr to a front piston tuba (bell on right side of body). And the main tuning slide set up with an adjustment ring near the top bow for adjustments. Fourth valve tuning slide is upright too, can be pulled in 4th valve register below staff. All valves and slides work. This is a really nice sounding horn, easy playing and having the tuning adjuster is a real handy mechanism to keep playing down the center of the horn as much as possible. Denis Wick SM4M included as well as factory black hard case. A pro-level euph for Chinese-meh money. Buyer pays shipping[/s]. SOLD
$300: No name Chinese. 4 upright valves, large shank receiver, lacquer, good condition. Factory hard case. I've done a few things with it, including recording projects and concerts, but I've never loved it. It's a cheap euph and it allowed me to say "yes" to projects while I saved up for a different horn. Intonation isn't great (I played with my hand on the first valve slide to adjust manually). Good parade horn, student horn, or entry into the dark side fo valves. Not going below $300, It'd be tough to get a 4 valve euph for any less. Buyer pays shipping.

That went fast. No surprise at that price. Tuba doublers prize these for the front-action valves.

Euphoniums F/S
Kind of a classic "tenor tuba", distinct from the ubiquitous compensated euph that is now so frequently used in that role.
