WTB Conn 78H or 79H Bell!

Post by ttf_demaxx1 »

I posted this one other time. Then I bought a 78h bell, and it was so nice I ended up using the bell with my 79H slide. It has made a great horn! So now I am in the market again for a 78H or 79H bell to repair a 79H horn that I have, that the damage to the bell is to bad to repair. The bell does not need to be mounted. Good condition desired, but will look at anything, if the price is right!

Thank you!

J. Landress brass is selling a 78H with two bells - maybe you can buy just one of them?

Thank you. It is the wrong vintage, but I sent an email. I can get a bell from allied, but then again it is the wrong engraving. I do appreciate the lead.

I did the same thing. Rescued a damaged old 79h with a beater 78h. The 79h is one of my favorites! Just have to wait around until the right 78h shows up. I wouldn't cannibalize a nice horn to do it, especially one of those '20's horns.

I bought a 78H  bell about a month ago, but the bell was to nice to part out. So I had the few dents removed and use it with the 79 slide. So Now I will find another bell, and have both 78H and 79H bells with the one slide. Have the best of both worlds.

Here's one that might be a good one to cannibalize

I have talked to them on this horn before, we have been close on the price, but not quite there. It has been a few months. I will give them another try.

Thanks.
