I understand that they are all owned by Steinway. Evidently elmsandr saw multiple products being assembled on the same “line.” I have heard that Lexus and Toyota
Cars come down the same assembly line.
Not really a good analogy as Toyota and Lexus are made by the same manufacture in the same factories.

At one time Conn and King were both being made in the King plant in Eastlake. Now (as I understand it) Conn and Bach are both being made in the Bach plant in Elkhart. Some of the student models are being made under contract in China.

Bach had a bad strike a couple of years ago and there may be some replacement workers who aren't quite up to standard.

That's what I'm trying to tell you. They do exactly that. In one of these pictures, I'm in the background talking to a guy doing final assembly on Bass trombones. He had a couple of Bachs and a couple of Holtons on his bench on the same day. A different workbench had some Bachs and some Conns. Exactly analogous.

They have photo albums from "Bach Fest 2017" and 2018 on their FB page. I, uh, look conspicuously like my avatar there (I was wearing a green polo shirt and slacks).

Ok. I misunderstood your point.
Age, poor eyesight and drugs (prescribed btw) are what I'm gonna blame it on. :-)

2009 was almost 20 years ago?

Moving Conn (and reportedly Holton) into the Elkhart Bach factory more recently may have had some impact as well. Probably less on Bach than on Conn and Holton.

The strike was 2005-2006, unless I'm mistaken.
