how to clean before leather grips

I have a new leather grip, but I heard youre supposed to clean the horn before applying them. In what manner should I clean my horn? I'm thinking LOC but feel free to correct me

Whatever you use to clean where the grip goes, make SURE it is dry before you lace on the grip. You just want to get off oils and grit, so a dishwashing detergent, LOC, isopropyl alcohol, or whatever is OK. Then dry well and allow all adsorbed moisture to evaporate.
