Bach Plug Bores and swapping valves

Post by ttf_anonymous »

Hi Guys.

Right. Have a lovely bach 36b with a K valve. Need to swap it out as it makes the trombone unplayable with it digging into the neck.

Is a Bach 36 plug the same bore as a Bach 42?

Yes, the entire valve section is identical.

I have a complete 42 traditional valve section (older linkage) that I just decided is no longer useful ... email me if you're interested.

If either of you have (or acquire)and don't need the 42 slide receiver and/or lock nut, I would definitely be interested in that particular component.

I also have a whole 42 valve section, also with the earlier (IMO, better, less noisy) style linkage; including slide receiver (no locking nut). ~1994, taken off the horn in 2011. It's all disassembled (nothing is soldered). PM me if interested.
