Ergonomics Edwards T396-A

Hi
I have recently come into possession of an Edwards T396-A. The Alessi horn.
It fits my playing style rather well and is a bit easier to play than my trustee Hagmann Custom tenor. So I might actually keep it
The only thing that bothers me is the location of the valve lever. To me, it feels like I have to move my thumb way to the right in order to actuate the valve, this can hurt after some time. Anybody else got that problem? Seems like an easy fix, to change the location of the valve lever, right?
