Anyone have feed back on the Trapani harmon mute?

They're great. I don't have one but I have several friends with them.

ChadA thanks for the comparison vid! Jo Ral has a nicer sound. More Harmon-like IMO. How do they feel comparatively?

The Trapani is easier to play in the low register for sure. I prefer the feel of it overall. I also like how it actually stays in my bell.

I've had an opportunity to try almost all of the Trapani Mutes at SoCal Trombone Day since Steve Trapani was there. They honestly played incredibly well, they play evenly on all of the registers of the instruments and they were close to having the feeling of an open horn without the mute in. They're also super lightweight. I personally own the Harmon Mute.

just got mine in yesterday. it plays quieter than Harmon or Jo-Ral, but that benefits most of what i do (solo and mixed chamber work.)

for my 2 cents:
Trapani - most interesting sounds, quietest, great for solo work and weird stuff
Harmon - perfect for brass quintets and jazz/commercial work
Jo-Ral - best for orchestral stuff, loudest sound, maybe least interesting overtone wise
