This seems to be an eastman trombone under shires branding. Does anybody know anything about this?

I've only seen one or two of these in the wild. They looked to me like Q series, but soldered together (no removable bell or leadpipe, I believe). They played okay, but the fit and finish seemed a little lower (though I might have seen prototypes, not production horns) and I preferred the way the Q series played.

I think it's just a rebranded eastman etb630. Do you think they might release other models?

Here's the page from Shires' website: https://www.seshires.com/bravotrombone

The F attachment bracing looks more Eastman than Shires. Who knows?

I have to wonder, what is the point of this branding?

To squeeze all they can out of the Shires brand in the lower market.

So many things out of China have one plant with many brand names. Part of the illusion.
