Where can I find music of the Schumann 3 Romances arranged for trombone?

I am aware of the Ralph Sauer transcription, but that is transposed down a whole step and I prefer it in the original key (such as Jim Markey's recording). I couldn't find this music available for purchase or download anywhere, so can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

You can rest assured they weren't written for trombone.  In fact, the 3 Romances Op 28 were written for cello.  The cello parts are on IMSLP.

Note that cello music can go into tenor clef and non-transposing treble (where  Image Image is  Image Image )  Also note that cello parts can go down to low C, 2 ledger lines below the bass staff.  If you are equipped with a single trigger trombone and good chops they should be easily playable.  Just watch out for the multiple notes.

Originally it was for oboe and piano. All others (cello, sax, violin) are adaptations.

I'm not familiar with the trombone version by Sauer but if you want the original piano part in the original key, it's on IMSLP.  Other than transposing i don't' know what he did differently with it than was in the original.

Once you had that you could easily transpose the trombone part from Sauer's version to the original key.

I think I'm just going to use the original oboe part, and hopefully get better at reading treble clef along the way. Thanks guys!

Cherry Classics has them. I got them last fall. I think it was about $20.

Op 28 is a different set of romances for solo piano I think, or maybe four hands. I'm not sure.

The romances trombonists pilfer from oboists are op 94.

Btw James Markey's recording of them is absolutely superb. Some of the best trombone playing I've heard recently.

IMSLP has the Op 94 Romances for F Horn.  If you want some practice reading Mezzo-Soprano Clef, they are a good price.  Incidentally, they go pretty high Image
