Vintage Mirafone single bass?

Just curious to know if anyone is familiar with this model? Owner states 1960's vintage.

4283 is the serial number, not the model. The serial on my F-tuba is in the same loation.

They're a 72H copy. I've heard they're ok.

Yes, imitation of a Conn 72H is the best description I can think of as well. i own a 72H and have played a few of the old Mirafones as well. The only difference I found in the instruments was that the Mirafone gets a little brighter on the loud end, while the 72H remains a little more consistent from soft through loud. Otherwise...many similarities.
