Kanstul 1606SB
Excited/fortunate to have been able to purchase this horn from Horn Guys. Being a Williams fan, I’ve always wanted to try a 1606 out. I first saw this horn on their website a few months ago and was on the fence about purchasing it. After saving up some money I figured it would be a good opportunity to go ahead and purchase. Apparently, Kanstul made two of these with screw bells. The horn just got delivered and so far the craftsmanship looks top notch. Looking forward to playing this horn alongside my Williams 6.

Nice. Sad that Kanstul is gone. They seemed to make some interesting horns.

I am lucky to own the 1606 prototype. It is one of the best playing horns I own, and in fact, I am the most comfortable on it. More so than my Lawler or Williams. It uses the receiver from their student line horn instead of the Williams style of the production models. I have played several production model 1606's and while they are very good they are not as good as this prototype. It is definitely a special horn. I hope you enjoy yours.

There's something special about those Zig prototypes. He really know what he was doing. I used to own a Prototype Euph and it was a killer horn. I also almost purchased a prototype 1662i and it was better than any of the production horns I ever played!TheSheriff wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 1:19 pm ..

Ha! It was! I had the horn on trial and didn't buy it for some reason. I don't even remember why... I was just a dumb kid in Community College at the time.
