Conn 76H Century

A friend has asked me about the Conn 76H "Century" model but I have been unable to help him; can anyone here fill in the blanks, please?

It seems that it was a ML bore (0.522in) straight tenor, made around 1983. Was it made to commemorate 100 years since the big fire and the building of the new factory?
What was the bell size and was the bell made from yellow brass or was there a Coprion option?
Was it a pro' horn or a step up or a student model?
What are they worth now?

Thanks

I think I played one once in a music store. If I remember correctly it had a Coprion bell, about 8". Took a small shank mouthpiece so it could very well have been 0.522".

I was interested in F-attachment at the time so I never investigated it further.

8.5” yellow brass bell. Super-tight through the tuning slide and top of bell stem. Plays smaller than the bore size would indicate. Slide is also narrow, like 6H width.

Klimchak's description is spot on.

Here's a link to a 76H I sold a couple of months ago:

Thanks to everyone for your replies and especially the link from Biggiesmalls; all most useful.

I now assume that the 76H "Century" is the same as my 74H "Artist" except for the bell material. The 74H has a red brass bell but the 76H seems to have a yellow brass, or nickel plated, or "Coprion" bell. Were these different options or were players wearing rose-tinted spectacles? :idk:

Cheers

The one I had seemed to be just the same as a 74H but it was silver plated with a 8 1/2" nickel plated bell flare. Played brighter than a 74H; probably yellow instead of a red brass flare like the 74 and 75H.. Very lightweight like the 74H. These Artist Symphony medium bores play well and were not student line horns.
