Hi! I recently purchased a Berkeley Bass Trombone and I've noticed that when I play any note in 2nd position from the regular E Image and up the octaves, It makes a strange ringing sound and I'm pretty clueless on what causes these sounds because none of my other trombones have had this problem. It's not audible to others unless they get right next to my horn, so it annoys me a bit. Any ideas?

There could be a sympathetic vibration or a bad solder joint.

Have a friend hold different parts of the trombone while you play the problem note to see if it stops.  Often holding a brace that has a bad joint or a loose piece of solder will stop the buzz.  Once you locate the problem the fix may be easy.

It appears to be coming from my Db tuning slide. The slide itself is very wobbly if you move it. When I play a note and I move the slide the sound will go on and off. What could I do to get this sorted out?

Try lubing it with a HEAVY grease like anhydrous lanolin or heavy axle grease.  Even the Hetman extra heavy tuning slide grease should work.

Is it possible to go to a repair shop and get it so it doesn't move wobble like the other tuning slides?
