At the risk of appearing to blow my own trumpet, you can download some scores of my music at
http://www.bandsman.co.uk/download.htm

The scores are in PDF format so you can view and print them from any operating system (I don't force you to downgrade to Windows if you're not using it)

Just found this one.

Free classical sheet music!

Apparently, you can have 3 free downloads per day, with midi files to go with the scores, or pay $15 per year for unlimited downloads.

For combos of various sizes and instrumentation, check out  Second Floor Music

They have a neat search engine where you can specify the group size and lead instruments, and it will find the charts that fit your requirements.  Also, they have special rates on selected groups of charts.

Saw their booth at IAJE last year, and was most impressed with the quality of their composers and arrangers.

The Icking Music Archive:

Lots of classical music public domain scores. No arrangements, but a great source of material.

Solid Brass Music

They specialize in music for brass: solos, methods, ensembles. Good selection, with descriptions of the material, nicely organized. I've never ordered from them, I don't know anything about the service.

Hello, Brian!    Image

This topic, formerly called "Music Score Sites", is one I started with the intention of gathering together all the sites for buying or downloading music that members have recommended over the years. Thus, when members ask for such websites, I can refer to this topic rather than hunting for the sites again. The other topic was started by a member with a particular question to ask; it contains a few sites, but also a fair bit of conversation, a couple of links which no longer work, and some bother with the RealBook.

[edit]

I've now brought over the links which still work, unfeatured the other topic, and changed the name of this one.

Sorry for the confusion! My fault, I should have done this earlier.

Can you think of a better name for this topic, to describe what it's about?        Image

I just found this.  (Not quite) complete Scarlatti keyboard sonatas, downloadable for free!

At least some of these have been transcribed successfully for brass.  There are a great many of them.  You will need a postscript viewer.

Brixton is already in the Link Library.  Gradually these topics will become un-featured as we go through them and make sure the links are posted in the appropriate section of the Link Library.

Please be sure to give ratings to sites!

Use the Link Library entry in the Goodies menu, or get there directly via http://tromboneforum.org/index.php?action=links

For anyone that was using Wikifonia and found it had been removed, here is a link to all or some of the files - 34Mb.

https://mega.co.nz/#!BdsFHAKT!DhPOxGyICe7PlhqHIZjGM3C5FKh8ACFc4S3RpwRGZzs

I should mention that it downloads a zip file which opens out to six thousand odd songs (mainly standards) in .mxl format, which can be read by Sibelius and Musescore (free) etc.

You might need to copy and paste rather than try to link directly.

I´ll also promote my own site, now given the opportunity  Image

www.danieleng.com

At the site you´ll find almost my entire production of charts for big band for sale.
Many charts are written for my big band project and are quite difficult, but there are easier charts as well.

Not all listed charts are yet available, but they will soon be as I work hard to complete the editing.

Welcome!
