Hi all, I'm new here and looking for some help dating my Bach Selmer small bore. I think it is a Tb300. I just bought a new slide lock from the US which was last in stock and advertised to fit the Tb600 and fits nicely. The trombone is in good used condition and I'm thinking it is around 20 years old but has no serial numbers.

There should be a serial number somewhere. Usually where the slide and bell connect, or sometimes on a brace.
Pictures of the instrument can help with dating. The bell engraving changes from time to time and some of us are knowledgeable on what engraving goes when.
The TB-300 replaced the Bundy and I think that would have been in the 1980s.
Good luck.

I find the newer (within the last 20 years) Bach-Selmer student horns very confusing, in part because they keep changing them.
I'm pretty sure the Bach tb200 is basically a re-badged Bundy; but at least seems to be consistant.
The tb300/301 is (I think) made in the USA, and identical or at least comparable to the King 606. A decent student horn. IMO.

Dinner and a movie is usually a good way to start.
