Found someone local to me selling a corporation 36B for only $500

Slide moves and valve moves. Lacquer is ROUGH. That’s the extent of the info in the listing as well as what the seller knows.

Still a good buy or should I pass on this one?

... Only if you have a good tech nearby to restore it to playability and/or are willing to write off the investment as a loser (or resell it for what you paid)!

Lacquer is all cosmetics. If there are no green or red rotting spots anywhere, I would get it.

You might want to budget $200-300 just in case there are any unseen repairs.

I got a Bach 12 never having seen it for au$900, approx us$650.
Great horn, now my daily player.
I'd go for it, they are popular so if you don't like it you can always sell it!
Am I a trombone player who plays euphonium, or a euphonium player who plays trombone? :idk:

Most pro horns are worth $500 in working condition.

I like to live dangerously. And if you pass on it, you won't find out if it is a Mt Vernon or New York! :amazed:

The chances of its resale value being lower than 500$ as is are pretty low so it's not really a risk.
