Lawler Trombone Leadpipes

Post by NorthernEuph »

just curious - has anybody experimented with aftermarket leadpipes on Lawler trombones? I currently own a Model 2 with #5 and #15 pipes. I'm looking for something to brighten it up and give it a little more punch.

I am using a kanstul H6 on my model 1. It seems to focus my playing in a bit better with the 500/508 slide, but that’s just me.

I have tried 6-7 pipes in mine, and the Kanstul W6 is by far the best match (for me anyway). I've been using it for almost 5 years.

Finding one may be a challenge since Kanstul shut down a few years back...

Last time I checked Hornguys was still selling Kanstul leadpipes, what they actually have in stock I don't know.
