Interesting to me at least...
I have an Elkhart 4H that doesn't get much use, as it is a bit small for current big band. Plus it's not a real looker.
I've had my eye on a Conn Director, 18H, with Coprion bell. Finally pulled the trigger today as the price was right. The bell is in great shape, with only a few blemishes. The slide it came with, not great with some wear on the stockings. My 4H slide is very smooth so, out of curiosity, I paired the 2 together. Perfect fit, and what a great sound! The bores of the 2 horns are the same (484), but the larger 7.5" bell on the Coprion rounds out the sound of the 4H slide.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to come to this realization, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless!

I noticed this on ebay, it's in a Director case but the braces and ferrells make me think it's not a Director - 12H, perhaps?

It's not a Director. The reversed tuning slide and nickel-silver slide crook say no.Mamaposaune wrote: ↑Sat May 21, 2022 7:28 pm https://www.ebay.com/itm/115386386243?h ... Sw7SNigwDI

The bell looks like Coprion, so maybe a 10H?

The bell section in post #1 is a Director. The horn on eBay is *not* a Director.

Ebay horn slide is definitely a professional slide. Someone got a deal with that one.
I'm watching for a director bell to go along with my 24H and 77H slides.
