does somebody know is Edwards has a serial number system for their trombones?

Never seen one.

A zero digit thing.

It is my understanding there was a numbering convention, but it was changed. The only way to be 100% sure is to call Edwards.

From the Edwards website:

"FYI, our serial numbers give you the year and month the valve section was built. For example, a bass valve section I just saw at ETW was 2904003. It was built in 1992 (I know, the year is backwards) on April 3rd".

Serial number is clearly only the valve section for the modular horns.

My D lever saddle was soldered partially covering the number in ‘99, for amusement.

Cheers,
Andy

My serial number is xy08045, so I guess it was built on August 45. I was always told that the last digits were the sequential number of valve sections made that month, so mine would be the 45th valve section made in August of year yx.

Or it was the fifth valve made on august 04
