How many of you use/have used bullet braces or other kinds of braces to help you hold your horn? I know I had a lot of wrist tension when I held up my bass before I tried one. I honestly didn't think it was going to work as well as it did and now I will never go back. Just wondering everyone's thoughts.

I use the old Greenhoe ones. I silver plate them for my nickel allergy and them have a tech put woodwind cork on it for comfort. I prefer the soldered ones to the clamped ones even if that makes them less modular

I use a bullet brace with my Yamaha 622 bass. It does the job perfectly, I don’t even know it’s there.

Neotech is what works for me.

Anybody out there that doesn't like them? If so, what are your reasons?

I personally prefer stuff that helps a bit more. Trombone strap, neotech, get-a-grip.

The Bullet Brace seemed to effect the resonance of the instrument. Neotech doesn't I believe because it is mounted on the slide not a brace on the bell.

Got a callace where it stands on my hand, it does a good job though.
