Getzen 1052 - Dual Bore Slide?

Post by BaronVonBone »

I thought the Getzen 1052 came with a dual bore slide.

Is that a thing of the past, or am I maybe just imagining it?

The 1062 was dual bore while the 1052 was single. Or was it the other way around?

I remember the inline being straight .562", while the dependent was .562" / .578"

That’s my recollection too. 1052 (inline) = single bore. But the slides are interchangeable so someone easily could have had a non standard one.

I had a 1052 that played great.

Yup, the independent 1052 is single bore. The dependent 1062 (and 3062AF) have dual bore slides. They are all interchangeable with each other, not with Edwards.

I won't give mine up unless/until I get my hands on a Conn 7xH style M&W. It's a great player that leans on the commercial side.
