Are there any integrated mp bones? And If so, what's the benefit it provides for playing, sound, etc

Closest thing is probably the “MAD Pipe” I can’t remember exactly what the spelling is. It’s basically like a leadpipe and a mouthpiece shank as one piece, with a threat at the top to accept a rim and underpart. I’ve never tried one and I’m not sure I know anyone who has either so I can’t report if it works well or not.

I'm not sure I've ever heard of - much less seen - a trombone with integrated mouthpiece.

From a quick thinking over, I can't really see any benfits with such a construction. It would probably be inconvenient for many reasons while handling the instrument, and, to that, taking up space in a case.

I'm also not sure I'd like to play one, too. But I can always change my mind if there are obvious advantages to it.

I think Monette made a prototype or two like this.

I doubt that there would be any significant benefit. At all!

My first thought was “Sounds like a recipe for lack of cleaning where your lips meet the horn!”
