After a very successful show at ITF that just ended, I am heading to San Antonio for the TBA convention, which I have not done before.

I will have my full selection of mouthpieces there as part of the Houghton-Bland Low Brass booths 424 and 426

Anybody here in Albuquerque? I'll be there tonight and at least part of tomorrow.

I'd have been there, but I missed that left turn.

There's your problem. You don't turn left to get to Albuquerque, you turn left at Albuquerque. You must've turned left a Tucumcari. There's not much out in that direction. Roswell is fairly close by, so maybe you can hitch a ride with a passing extraterrestrial.

TBA/ TODA had gotten very small BUT this year they are having a 76 trombone (I think it is coming out to something like 100) choir event.
Well I say small… it is still bigger than most states music education shows.
Have a great one Doug! I will tell all my trombone friends you will be there!

Believe it or not, I spent the night in a Holiday Inn in Tucumcari in 1969.

That sounds like a line from a country & western ballad. Either that, or a line from a movie by either David Lynch, Wes Anderson, or Quentin Tarantino.

My Dad was transfered from Cherry Point, NC to Pearl Harbor, HI. He took 30 days leave and we drove from NC to CA. GREAT family trip! We visited the crater in Winslow, AZ (long before Glenn Fry stood on a corner) after spending the night in Tucumcari, NM.
