I will be driving across the country to the ITF in California and back.  I would be willing to teach if there are enough people interested to make a stop worthwhile. I'm planning a northern route to get there (through Chicago, Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, San Fancisco) and a middle route to come back (through Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver).

Please contact me if you think you could put something together.

On my drive out to California I have teaching stops planned for Chicago (6/15), Ellensburg (6/19-20), Seattle (6/20-21), Portland (6/21-22), and LA (6/27).

The trip back is still open for the first part of July. I can consider stopping in San Diego, Tucson, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, etc.  Anybody want to organize something?

I'd really like something 6/21 from 3PM on.

Do you know where in Portland you will hold lessons?  Any words of advice for all of us on what to prepare and what to bring?  Should I let other Portland trombonists know about your trip?

Wednesday evening 6/21 would be fine with me but I'll be depending on somebody else to provide a place.  Nothing is set yet, any ideas?  I'll probably be in Seattle most of that day.

Nobody needs to prepare anything unless they want to.  Just bring a horn.  And my teaching is for all brass, not just trombone.

My best idea for a place in Portland would be to contact Ron Babcock (Portland State trombone prof) and see if he can arrange a room at Portland State.  I could also ask at Reed College where I know a trombone faculty member.  Give me your approval and I'll follow up on it.

I'm putting you on my calendar for sometime 6/21 evening. 

Count me in for Portland.  Maybe bring your Contra mouthpiece kits?

I'd definitely be interested in seeing you in San Diego, work permitting.  I'm in Carlsbad, North SD County. 

I can make a stop in Carlsbad on Sunday after the ITF.  You're on the list.

I'm planning the Chicago stop for Wednesday 6/14 now, instead of Thursday 6/15.  I will keep in touch with details as it gets closer.

Wednesday, June 14: I will be all day at Fix This, 746 East Northwest Highway, Palatine, IL 60074
Private lessons and possibly a masterclass, depending on the schedule.  They're open 10-6.
