This is driving me nuts. I can't remember what the terminology is. Let's say I wanted to have a bar of just the same eighth note repeated, e.g.:
But I wanted them written as quarters with the slash through them for conciseness. Is that possible in MuseScore?

I'm not sure it's the right thing, but you might use some of the annotations on the Tremolo toolbar. Does that get you where you want to go?
