Those hairstyles aren't 70s, even for Welk.

That may be right, no air date on the video, but the song released in '67. Had another in mind from '73 that has the same lineup. Tanya sounds great with the band having fun.

The hair looks like every female character in "Apollo 13" and "First Man". Or Amy Winehouse.

So it could be 1969. Or early 2000s. But definitely not the 70s. Because NASA!

Welk was always a strong 50s vibe, and usually conservatively behind the times, like his audience. I admit I watched a lot of Lawrence Welk as a kid. But this song was current when performed here.

According to https://ctva.biz/US/MusicVariety/Lawren ... 67-68).htm that performance was taped Jan 27, 1968.

There was the one not with a trombone player, but tuba player Sam Pilafian and another flirty singer with another "eyes" song. This was probably in the 80s.

I used to love watching this woman sing on the Welk show. Mid 70s?
