Conn SL2525 slide dimensions?

Post by blap73 »

Could someone measure their SL2525 slide, as follows?

1) Length of the outer slide tubes, and specify whether that is to the start of the crook, or your best guess on how far it extends into the crook. Tape measure is fine for this.

2) with a caliper, the OD of the inner slide, at the stocking. I need a pretty accurate measurement there.

Looking at a possible part for a project horn.
Thanks much!

1) I measure 65,0 cm with my tape measure to the start of the crook.
2) I measure 14,05 mm at the stocking with my caliper.

Ah, considerably shorter tube than what I'm looking for. Pity. The diameter is perfect.

I get 26" (66.04 cm) from the open end to the middle of the ferrule, but mine has been doctored. OD is 0.554" (14.07 mm)

Just to avoid any confusion (I should have been clearer in my description):

1) I measure 65,0 cm from the open end to the start of the ferrule. I'm guessing it extends about 7 to 8 mm into the ferrule.
